Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party’s (MRP) Secretary General Greyson Mikuwa, says the phone-in programme which was conducted by Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) Radio on its Mindset Change project, has proved that Malawians are well enlightened people than they were in 2020.

The radio opened its airwaves to the listener’s to ask questions to MRP President Bantu Saunders Jumah on several issues that have rocked the country ranging from fuel, forex, fertilizers, and the country’s national debts to leadership.

Mikuwa said the phone-in radio programme has encouraged Bantu Saunders Jumah to continue with his Mindset Change project after the 16th September, 2025 elections so that the in-coming government should not forget its role in providing servant leadership.

He said listeners provided views on how the country can be run better so that all are taken on board for them to feel that they are part of government claiming that most Malawians feel sidelined by a political party in government.

However, Mikuwa said most of the listeners expressed their concern that Bantu Saunders Jumah’s face will be missing in the eyes of those that have been transformed with his Mindset Change project saying Malawians are well –placed in politics because they have learnt a lot from him.

Mikuwa said the phone-in programme was conducted to solicit views from Malawians ahead of the Press conference MRP President Bantu Saunders Jumah will be addressing on Wednesday to various media houses.

He said the views solicited will be put to the two political parties MCP and DPP which Malawians have trusted them to lead the country and one of the two, will automatically win the elections to form a government.

The Secretary General said the political party which will agree to walk with Malawians on their promises will sign an agreement with Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) so that all of what it has promised to Malawians, must be fulfilled.

“After the Press Conference, MRP will go on the ground campaigning with the party that has promised to walk with Malawians on promises,” said Mikuwa.

On party manifestos questions, Bantu Saunders Jumah said parties have been using the same manifestos time and again with promises but ending up not fulfilling the promises saying he would have loved if MCP and DPP tell Malawians why they have not fulfilled their promises and what promises they have achieved for a renewed commitment with the voters.
