Midfield Ernest Petro has officially parted ways with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract with the club.
Petro, once considered a vital cog in the Bullets’ midfield engine during Kalisto Pasuwa’s reign, has seen his playing time drastically reduced under new head coach Peter Mponda.
Sources within the club indicate that Petro had grown increasingly frustrated with limited opportunities, prompting him to seek a fresh start elsewhere.

Known for his composure on the ball, intelligent passing, and ability to dictate tempo in the middle of the park, Petro was a fan favorite during Bullets’ multiple TNM Super League triumphs.
His departure marks the end of an era for the midfielder, who has also featured in continental competitions with the People’s Team.
Already, local giants Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and ambitious side Creck Sporting Club are reportedly circling for his signature. Both teams see Petro as an ideal addition to strengthen their midfield as they push for silverware this season.
Petro’s next destination remains to be seen, but his exit from Bullets is set to spark intense competition among local clubs eager to secure the services of one of Malawi’s most gifted playmakers.
