President Lazarus Chakwera has issued a stern warning to individuals he accuses of deliberately attempting to sabotage his administration’s development agenda.

Speaking to a large crowd at Waliranji Trading Centre during whistle-stop rallies in Lilongwe and Mchinji, the President stated that he is aware of forces working to frustrate his plans. He declared his intention to stay ahead of them, assuring the public of his commitment to ensuring development reaches all parts of Malawi.

Chakwera stressed that unscrupulous individuals are actively trying to undermine his government’s efforts to create a false impression of failure. He returned to the area to rally support, reminding citizens of his previous visit where he urged voter registration and now calling on them to vote in the coming days.
While describing Mchinji as the nation’s breadbasket, the President acknowledged that the district itself has been left behind in development, a situation his administration is committed to rectifying.
