Executive partner R.J. Mhone and Rocane Associates have reminded Deputy Chief Justice Lovemore Chikopa that they are yet to be given any judgment for the Civil Cause Number 176 of 2011 in justice delayed is justice denied.
The Civil Cause was between Susan Namangale and four others, and Nico General Insurance Company Limited VS Likanga Transport and Chapter Insurance Company Limited, the case was handled by Hon. Justice Potani and hearing was concluded.
In the letter filed to Justice Chikopa dated 11th February, 2026 the Legal Practitioners say despite numerous reminders both in writing and in person and aborted dates for delivery of judgment, they are yet to be given any judgment for reasons that are yet to be communicated to them.
The Lawyers say their Clients are keeping coming to their offices every solace on the delay saying the matter was referred to Justice Dingiswayo Madise as the then Head of Judicial Complaints Committee in 2024 as well as last year, but they have had no response to date.
This is another forgotten case as that of the dead Finance Bank where judgment pronounced cannot please any side proving beyond reasonable doubt that Malawi courts are rotten, corrupt and compromise, without money, there will be no justice to be delivered to favor the Claimant.
In January, 2026 the Supreme Court of Appeal ruling ordered the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) to compensate the owner of Finance Bank Limited for the loss of business from 2005 to 2025, the ruling has angered millions of Malawians that in turn have labelled Court judges as all corrupt.
Malawians have made it clear that they will not pay the dead Finance Bank Limited a whooping K7 trillion while their hospitals are running dry with no essential medicines and the country’s debts have risen to K28 trillion from K4.1 trillion left by the DPP and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in June, 2020.
Lawyer and Human Rights Defender Alexious Kamangila, has written a food for thought on his face book page exposing the deep- rooted corruption which have rocked the country’s judicial system saying the late Ralph Kasambala was the most corrupt and crooked Lawyer in Malawi if not in Africa.
Kamangila said all the lawyers under his training turned out as corrupt as Ralph was citing Wapona Kita, Lusungu Gondwe, Frank Mbeta, Trouble Kalua (now Judge), Goba Chipeta and in the second generation, Gift Katundu, Zwelithini Chipembere, Wanangwa Hara, Preston Matanda, Khwima Mchizi, Geof Taumbe etc, etc.
He said there are also other lawyers who are thieves coped from Ralph such as George Jivason Kadzipatike, Gift Nankhuni, Emmanuel Theu, and Edgar Kachere etc saying there are others “Look Sharp” they don’t go out to steal or indulge in corruptions out-rightly, but they are caught up and say ‘I have a family to feed citing Khumbo Bonzoe @Bright Theu.
The Counsel said these lawyers usually play the cleaning image job in the public sector etc Dziko Malunda Ngozo, and Masauko Chamkakala @ Steve Kayuni saying he has studied this profession for years and no one can cheat him or hide from the fire of justice.
“I am sure if we are to search, we will find pictures of Chief Justice with Dr. Joyce Banda and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, he is a professional- licker,” said Counsel Kamangila.
