Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Member of Parliament for Mzuzu Central Constituency, Bennex Mwamlima, has commended President Lazarus Chakwera for the progress made on the Mzuzu Youth Center project.
Mwamlima highlighted that during the president’s recent visit to the Northern Region, he inspected the project and confirmed that significant progress had been made.

The legislator expressed satisfaction with the president’s approach to handling development projects across the country.
“I raised concerns about the project, and the president took the initiative to inspect it. Indeed, he found that work is progressing well,” said Mwamlima.
He emphasized the importance of completing the youth center, stating that it would provide young people with a platform to exchange ideas and acquire skills at both local and international levels.
Mwamlima also noted that he frequently visits the site and has observed steady progress.
He made these remarks in Parliament while questioning the Minister of Youth and Sports about the project’s completion timeline.
In response, Minister Uchizi Mkandawire assured the House that the project is currently 70% complete and will be finalized soon.
