Renowned media personality Patrick Kamkwatira on Wednesday bid farewell to Times Group, where he served as Head of Radio Presenters, to pursue a career in politics.
Kamkwatira will now run for Member of Parliament (MP ) for Neno East.
Speaking during a farewell ceremony, Kamkwatira expressed his desire to address the challenges facing his community, citing his motivation for joining politics.
On her part,Times Radio Programmes Manager Thabi Kamwangala acknowledged Kamkwatira’s vast expertise and noted that his departure will be felt at the media house.
Kamkwatira was known for hosting the popular program ‘Kulinji’ on Times Radio.
He had been in the media industry for over 30 years.
