The Hope Foundation for Social Development has provided relief to over 1,200 hunger-stricken households in Mangochi District by donating assorted food items.
The donation, which includes 25 kilograms of maize flour, soya pieces, and salt, aims to support vulnerable families and ensure they live with dignity.

Mussah Saidan, one of the organization’s officials, explained that the initiative was initially set to end in January but was resumed due to poor harvests this agricultural season. The extension of the program demonstrates the organization’s commitment to addressing the needs of the community.
Esther Katumbu, a beneficiary from Chomba Village, expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it will ease some of the challenges her family has faced.
The initiative was made possible with support from international donors, highlighting the importance of partnerships in addressing humanitarian needs.
The Hope Foundation’s efforts have brought relief to many families in Mangochi, providing them with essential food items to sustain themselves.
