Organisers of Mathumela Music Festival have announced that this year’s festival will take place on 10 August, 2025 at Masintha Ground in Kawale, Lilongwe.
Musician ‘Lulu’ who is the founder of the free music event said preparations for this year’s festival have already started and that people should expect a lot of surprises.
The free festival was first launched in 2020 and it brings together both established and up and coming artists to showcase their skills.
Lulu, real-name Lawrence Khwisa, created the festival as one way of giving back to the people for supporting his talent, and provide a platform for up and coming artists to showcase their skills.
Apart from music, this year’s festival will feature a special performance by comedian Tame Mwawa popularly known in entertainment circles as ‘Ching’aning’ani’.
