Malawi’s renowned hip-hop artist Gwamba, affectionately known as the “Hip-hop Landlord,” is set to electrify Karonga tonight with a live performance as part of his highly anticipated Wanted Tour.
This marks Gwamba’s first time performing in Karonga, and he’s eager to show appreciation to fans who’ve supported his music but haven’t seen him live.

The Wanted Tour kicked off in Rumphi on Friday and will wrap up in Chitipa on Independence Day. Gwamba’s decision to perform in smaller towns like Karonga stems from his desire to give back to fans who’ve been loyal to his music.
“We usually do shows in cities, so this time I thought of giving a chance to people in places I’ve never performed,” he explained.
Local artist K Dansoul, one of the supporting acts, expressed excitement about sharing the stage with Gwamba.
“This platform offers local artists an opportunity to showcase their talent and learn from experienced performers,” K Dansoul said.
Tonight’s event in Karonga promises to be an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts. With Gwamba’s energetic performances and the supporting acts’ talents, fans are in for a treat.
The Wanted Tour showcases Gwamba’s commitment to his fans and the growth of Malawi’s music industry.
