Blantyre’s Soche CCAP Church is commemorating 30 years of service with a special anniversary gathering this week.
Malawi’s Vice President, Dr. Jane Ansah, is present at the celebration in the capacity of Guest of Honour.
The event underscores the weight the occasion carries beyond the local congregation.

As part of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian’s Blantyre Synod, the church is using the milestone to look back on three decades of partnership and community work in Blantyre.
Attendees expect Dr. Ansah to deliver remarks during the programme.
Her attendance draws attention to the influence of faith-based organizations within Malawi’s public and social spheres.
Over the past several months, the Vice President has frequently taken part in religious gatherings nationwide.
A number of these engagements have been tied to initiatives spearheaded by her foundation, which focuses on community development and charitable outreach.
The anniversary has brought together clergy, church members, and residents who have come to honor Soche CCAP’s legacy and its current mission.
The occasion reflects the ongoing connection between religious life, community action, and civic leadership in the country.
According to organizers, the celebration is intended as both a time of gratitude and a recommitment to the church’s outreach efforts in Blantyre and the surrounding region.
