Seasoned banker and motivational speaker Benedicto Bena Nkhoma has been named among the finalists for the prestigious AfBC African Business Awards & Gala 2026 to be held in London, United Kingdom.
Nkhoma has been shortlisted in the highly competitive ‘Top 100 Business Leader of the Year’ category, a recognition that celebrates influential African business leaders making significant contributions to economic growth and institutional development across the continent.
Speaking in an interview with 247 Malawi News after the announcement, Nkhoma described the recognition as a humbling achievement that goes beyond personal success.
“This recognition is bigger than one individual. It reflects the resilience, ambition, and rising influence of African business leaders who are building institutions, creating opportunities, and shaping the future of our continent,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to the African Business Chamber, the Citrine Financial Group team, colleagues, partners, mentors, and all those who continue to support his vision of building sustainable African-led institutions.
Nkhoma emphasized the importance of continued leadership and innovation in Africa’s business sector, saying the continent’s story is still being written.
“We must continue building, leading, and creating value that outlives us,” he said.
The AfBC African Business Awards & Gala is one of the leading platforms recognizing outstanding African entrepreneurs, executives, and organizations driving transformation and excellence across various sectors.
The event is expected to attract business leaders, investors, and policymakers from across the globe.
