Muslim communities in Malawi received 30 cattle from the Dr Jane Ansah Foundation on Wednesday to mark Eid Al-Adha.
The donation was organized to help families celebrate the festival of sacrifice.
According to Yusuf Nthenda, Executive Director of the Foundation, the act reflects the organization’s dedication to standing with communities during key religious events.
Madina Mosque in Mchesi, Lilongwe, was given 15 of the cattle.
The other 15 were distributed to several mosques in Salima District to extend assistance further.

Sheikh Abdullah Mussa, speaking for Madina Mosque, expressed gratitude for the foundation’s support.
He said the donation would enable many Muslim families to observe Eid Al-Adha with dignity and joy.
Sheikh Mussa also asked the Vice President of Malawi, who founded the foundation, for help in completing a mosque house project.
He noted that the building has reached the roofing stage and requires 14 roofing sheets to be finished.
Yusuf Nthenda replied that the founder had approved the request.
He instructed the mosque leadership to collect the remaining roofing sheets the next day.
The donation has been described by locals as an act of compassion, unity, and support for vulnerable people during Eid Al-Adha.
