The government has called on communities unhappy with how councils are implementing Constituency Development Fund projects to lodge complaints through a newly launched digital dashboard.
The platform, unveiled recently, is intended to allow real-time monitoring of more than 2,000 development projects across the country.
Officials say it will improve oversight and make project information more accessible to the public.
Speaking to reporters, Ministry of Local Government Spokesperson Chimwemwe Njoloma said citizens should partner with local leaders to track CDF projects in their areas and use the dashboard to channel grievances.
“The platform is designed to serve the public by promoting transparency and accountability in the implementation of CDF projects,” Njoloma said,adding that, “Communities should use the appropriate channels on the dashboard to raise any concerns they have about how projects are being carried out.”
According to the ministry, the dashboard will give both government and citizens visibility on project progress, budgets, and locations, reducing delays and mismanagement.
Local leaders have been urged to sensitize residents on how to access and use the system so that feedback reaches decision-makers quickly.
The CDF allocates funds to each constituency for small-scale development projects such as schools, health facilities, roads, and water infrastructure.
