All set for Jah Kings Reggae Jam Concert

Jah Kings Promotion says all is set for a Reggae Concert dubbed ‘ _One Concious_ ‘ to be held on October 28, 2023 at Gland Business Park in the capital Lilongwe.

International Reggae music giants including Luciano and Everton Blender from Jamaica are expected to perform at the maiden Reggae Concert.

Also gracing the Reggae Jam is Iqualah Rastafari, hailed as the “High Priest of Reggae” and a champion of Rasta Education and Global awareness.



Iqulah Rastafari is known Internationally as the Reggae Ambassador.

His mission is to bring love and unity to the four ends of the earth.

IQULAH,whose name represents Integrity, Quality, Unity and Love for Africa as home will share the stage with local artists including the Black Missionaries, Blasto, Queen Fyah, Trumel, Chizmo, and Don Tarz among others.

In a separate interview, Jah Kings Promotion Chief Organiser Richard Chisala said the show is aimed at raising awareness on Rastafari works including projects such as the construction of Nyahbinghi Tabernacle in Area 17, Lilongwe.

According to Chisala, the concert also seeks to celebrate reggae and create an opportunity for fans to interact with some of their favorite artists. This will probably the biggest Reggae Show in Malawi and expected to be nothing but fireworks.

Said Chisala:“The concert is also set to promote unity and collaboration of artists while amplifying the universal Rastafari Movement call for financial support.”

On her part, Jah Kings Promotion member Zilanie Gondwe said:” This is a movement designed to celebrate reggae music and foster unity among reggae enthusiasts. This concert also aims to create international exposure by uniting artists from Jamaica (The Reggae Motherland) and Malawi (The Warm Heart of Africa) while supporting the Rastafari Movement’s call for financial backing in its socio-economic development endeavors.”

She added people should expect a great event that will put Malawi on the map in as far as reggae music is concerned.

Gondwe said attending the event means more than enjoying incredible music but it also signifies love towards Rastafarian community and reggae music.
