Nyasa Big Bullets took another step towards reclaiming the TNM Super League title as they struggled to beat Mafco FC 1-0 in a match that took place on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Precious Sambani’s goal was the only difference in the match that saw both sides creating a number of scoring opportunities in both halves.

Sambani scored in the 36th minute with a thunderous strike after receiving a pass from Patrick Mwaungulu.

Mafco almost equalised in the second half but Zikani Sichinga’s goal was controversially denied by the officiating personnel saying it did not cross the line.

The win means that Bullets are now level with Eagles on 13 points but the people’s team have a better goal difference.
