CDH Investment Bank injects K8.5 million into ECAMA’s 2026 annual conference

CDH Investment Bank has committed K8.5 million towards the Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA)’s 2026 annual conference, scheduled for October 29 to October 30, 2026, at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.

The conference to be held under the theme ‘From Policy to Practice: Making Reforms Work’ is expected to bring together policymakers, economists and private-sector players to explore practical solutions to Malawi’s economic challenges.

Presenting the cheque on Monday , September 28,2026 in Lilongwe, CDH Investment Bank Account Relationship Manager for Corporate and Public Sector, Jennie Madinga, said the donation reflects the bank’s recognition of ECAMA’s important role in promoting economic growth and development in Malawi.

Madinga said the conference will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in discussions and develop actionable strategies for translating economic policies into tangible results, in line with the country’s long-term development blueprint, Malawi Vision 2063.

On her part,CAMA Executive Director (ED) Esmie Koriheya Kanyumbu expressed gratitude to CDH Investment Bank, describing the financial support as a timely boost to preparations for the annual gathering.

“We are grateful to CDH Investment Bank for being a reliable partner over the years and for supporting the 2026 conference,” Kanyumbu said.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for policymakers, private-sector representatives and scholars to examine how economic reforms can be effectively implemented to accelerate Malawi’s economic development.

CDH Investment Bank is a Malawian financial institution incorporated in 2009 and officially commenced banking operations on April 2, 2012, following its transformation from Continental Discount House Limited, which operated in Malawi’s financial sector since August 1998.

The bank is a subsidiary of Continental Holdings Limited and is licensed and regulated by the Reserve Bank of Malawi(RBM).

It provides commercial and investment banking services, including corporate financing, personal banking, foreign exchange, asset financing, capital raising and financial advisory services.
