The legendary comedy duo Izeki ndi Jacobo will be honoured in a special Memorial Event set to take place on 28th November 2025 at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The event, organized by the Mabedi and Nyanga families, promises to be an unforgettable night celebrating the life, laughter and legacy of Malawi’s most iconic comic pair.
According to the organising families, the memorial will bring together fans, fellow comedians and artists who were inspired by the duo’s unmatched creativity and humour.
The ceremony is expected to start at 6 PM, on 28 November blending live performances, tribute speeches and video reflections showcasing some of the most memorable moments from Izeki and Jacobo’s golden years on stage and screen.
The event will not only celebrate their contribution to Malawi’s entertainment industry but also remind the nation of the power of laughter in uniting people across generations.
Fans are encouraged to attend in large numbers to pay tribute to the men who shaped the face of local comedy and left a legacy that continues to inspire young talent.
As one organiser put it, “Uku nkofunika kukasuzumilakoo it’s not just an event, it’s a celebration of legends.”
