The Kwera organization has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Lilongwe City Council (LCC ) to provide internship opportunities for students supported by the organization.
The signing ceremony took place at the council’s offices in Lilongwe on Monday.
In an interview with journalists,one of Kwera’s officials, Chimwemwe Kamwendo, thanked the LCC saying the agreement will help students from various universities and colleges to further develop the skills they acquire in their studies.

On his part,LCC Chief Executive Officer(CEO ), Macloud Kadammanja, described the agreement as highly significant, noting that it will also help the council reduce staffing challenges as it works to advance the development of Lilongwe city.
Kwera currently supports nearly 1,500 university students, and the agreement with the Lilongwe City Council will run for three years.
