Police have arrested James Clement Makopa for allegedly being behind the Bakili Muluzi TV Facebook page administrators.
National police spokesperson Peter Kalaya has confirmed the development saying Makopa is among three suspects they have been looking for from a number of complaints.
Says Kalaya:”He was arrested in Blantyre by our officers from the Digital Forensics and Cyber Crime Unit.
“Through our investigations, we traced him and we have evidence that he is among three individuals who are behind the so called Bakili Muluzi TV on social media.”
However, there is a screenshot making rounds on social media, purportedly of the said fake TV, in which somebody claims to be the true operative of ‘Bakili Muluzi TV’ and that he is based in South Africa.
Makopa hails from Mitowa village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Mpama in Chiradzulu District.
