The annual Maso Awards, which celebrate outstanding talent in Malawi’s creative industry, will this year have a budget of K48 million to make the event both spectacular and memorable.
According to the organisers, this significant investment is aimed at ensuring the ceremony offers a world-class experience for both the nominees and the audience.

The funds will cover various aspects, including venue setup, stage design, entertainment, sound and lighting, as well as guest hospitality.
Maso Awards Publicist, Memory Msatilomo, revealed that this year’s edition will feature 30 award categories, spanning across music, film, media, fashion, and other creative arts.
These categories aim to recognise the hard work and achievements of local artists, producers, directors, and industry contributors who have excelled over the past year.
The event is scheduled to take place on 13 December at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
Organisers are promising a night filled with live performances, celebrity appearances, and special tributes, making it one of the biggest entertainment nights in Malawi’s calendar.
