Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Director of international relations , Hon. Patricia Nangozo Kainga, was the guest of honor at a party rally held today in Mapuyu South, Lilongwe, under Senior Chief Kalolo.
The event, part of a series of MCP gatherings across the country this Sunday, aimed to mobilize grassroots support ahead of upcoming elections. In her address, Hon. Kainga called on rural communities to rally behind President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and Hon. Edward Chileka Banda, the party’s parliamentary representative.
“Dr. Chakwera and Hon. Chileka Banda are committed leaders working for Malawi’s progress,” Kainga stated. “Your votes will ensure continued development and strong representation.”

The rally emphasized the MCP’s push to consolidate its rural base, with party officials highlighting infrastructure projects and social programs. Similar meetings were held in other regions, signaling the MCP’s intensified campaign efforts.
As the political season heats up, the MCP seeks to reinforce its connection with voters, banking on grassroots engagement to secure another term.
