Migowi School for the Deaf has hailed Vice-President Jane Mayemu Ansah for supporting people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Phalombe, describing her outreach as a demonstration of inclusive leadership.
Phemia Mpombwe, director and founder of Migowi School for the Deaf, said people with disabilities are often sidelined in society, making support from leaders important in ensuring that they are included and cared for.

Mpombwe said Ansah’s decision to visit Phalombe and provide support to vulnerable communities deserves appreciation, adding that she should be remembered in prayers for continued blessings.
The event also showcased the abilities of learners at the school, with 16-year-old Brenda Mwenya impressing guests by reciting several Bible passages from memory, including Genesis 1, Psalm 100 and Romans 10:13.
Mpombwe said the school teaches learners academic subjects alongside the word of God, which she described as the beginning of wisdom.
Selected learners also entertained guests during the event by taking part in a sack race.
