A memorial prayer service to honor the late former Vice President of Malawi, Saulos Chilima, was held at Nsipe.
The event drew several of the country’s current and former leaders to pay their respects.
Among those present was Vice President Jane Ansah, representing the current administration.
Former President Joyce Banda was also in attendance, joining the nation in remembrance.
Former Vice President Michael Usi arrived to take part in the solemn gathering.
UTM party leader Dalitso Kabambe was present alongside other dignitaries and party officials.
The Catholic Church led the service, guiding prayers and reflections in memory of the late vice president.
