Mwanza United has expressed confidence that it will be among the competitive teams in this season’s Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) FINCA Division League 1.
The club’s leadership believes the team has assembled a strong squad capable of producing positive results throughout the campaign.
Mwanza United official Connex Duncan said the team has made adequate preparations ahead of the new season and is ready to compete at a high level.
Duncan has also called on football supporters to patronize Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre this Saturday when Mwanza United takes on FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves.
According to him, strong support from fans will help boost the players’ morale as they begin their league journey.
He revealed that the club recruited players from different districts to strengthen the squad and improve its chances of success.
Duncan expressed optimism that the new signings will make an immediate impact and contribute to the team’s ambitions this season.
“We brought in players from different districts because we want our team to perform well this season, and we believe these players will help us achieve success,” said Duncan.
Although Mwanza United is currently placed 11th on the league table without a point, the team is yet to play a match this season.
The upcoming fixture against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves will provide Mwanza United with its first opportunity to demonstrate its preparedness and determination in the 2026 FINCA Division League 1 campaign.
