Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Governor for the South , Charles Mchacha has admonished a section of his party accusing them of dividing the party.
Mchacha said there are people in the party who are all over endorsing APM to stand.
Mchacha said these are the people who made DPP lose elections.

“What we want is democracy and currently democracy is vanishing in the party. We don’t want Behaviour of removing people from the party,” he said.
Mchacha’s press conference came a few days after the party removed him for failing to endorse Mutharika.
But a few days later, the court stopped the party from implementing the decision.
There was a goals galore in the second week of the TNM Super League as 11 goals were registered on Sunday with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets being the biggest winners beating Mafco FC 4-nil at Kamuzu Stadium
Alick Lungu opened the scoring for Bullets with a thunderous shot, almost 30 yards from Mafco’s goal just 12 minutes in the first half which was dominated by the visitors but failed to hit the back of the net.
The home side came very strong in the second half and Lanjesi Nkhoma utilized the first scoring opportunity which came from the penalty spot just five minutes in the second half after a Mafco defender handled the ball in the box.
Two minutes later Alick Lungu who was also voted man of the match completed his brace with yet another beautiful strike beating the visitor’s goalkeeper Blessings Kameza.
Nkhoma added his second and Bullets’ fourth goal in the 60th minute to complete a second half dominant performance from Kalisto Pasuwa’s team.
Bullets has now moved to second on the log table, two points behind city rivals Mighty Mukuru Wanderers who are leading with six points from two games.
In Dedza, Dedza Dynamos beat Kamuzu Barracks 3-2 in an entertaining match played at Dedza Stadium.
Clement Nyondo, Chifundo Mpinganjira and Ibrahim Sadick were on target for the home side while Kelvin Hanganda and Chimwemwe Chisambi scored for the capital city-based soldiers.
Elsewhere, Binwell Katinji and Chifundo George scored for Civil Service United and Extreme FC respectively as the two sides shared the spoils at Civo Stadium.
In Mzuzu, Ekwendeni Hammers and Moyale Barracks played out to a goal-less draw at Mzuzu Stadium.
Red Lions, Civil Sporting and Extreme FC are some of the teams yet to register a win this season and they are pegged at the the bottom of the log table.

The Blue Eagles Police officers from National Police Headquarters have failed to control angry Central Bank workers who stormed Nankhaka Stadium to claim three points.
As the fight for 2023 TNM Super League season continues, two Lilongwe based giants Blue Eagles FC and Silver Strikers FC battled it out at Nankhaka Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match started on high note with Silver Strikers scoring an early goal on 2-minutes through Chimwemwe Idana.
The match was about to be turned into a boxing ring as two players Blue Eagles Captain Schumacher Kuwali and Nickson Mwase exchanged punches into the first half. Following the unsporting behaviour, referee Alfred Chilinda shown the Two red card. The first half ended 1-nil to Silver Strikers.
In second half, Blue Eagles FC came differently with the intention to find an equalising goal but yielded nothing. The game ended in favour of Silver Strikers with a 1-nil win courtesy of Chimwemwe Idana. Captain of Silver Strikers Chikondi Kamanga was voted man of the match.
Speaking after the match, Blue Eagles vice coach, Christopher Sibale pointed officiation as a source of their defeat. He however said, their team will be back to the winning ways. On the red card to their captain Schumacher Kuwali, Sibale said it might have affected other players psychologically.
On his part, Silver Strikers head coach Pieter De Jongh said, the result is good as his team has managed to claim 4-points from two big teams, the defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and runners up Blue Eagles FC. He added that the red card will not affect the team since over 25-players were registered.
In other matches that took place on Saturday, 22nd April, 2023, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has thrashed Redlions 3-0 at Balaka Stadium. Bangwe All Stars played a goalless draw with Mighty Tigers in Blantyre. In Karonga, Karonga United scored a late goal to force 2-all draw with Chitipa United.
Christopher Kumwembe is the first player to score a hat-trick in 2023 TNM Super League, having netted all three goals for Mighty Mukuru Wanderers today.

Government says it continues to cherish the longstanding bilateral relationship that exists between Malawi and Zimbabwe which has seen the two countries whose people share a common heritage and common values mutually benefiting.
Speaking when he represented Malawi government on the occasion of the 43rd Independence Day celebration for Zimbabwe on Saturday at Zimbabwean Embassy in Lilongwe, Minister of Homeland Security, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma said attainment of independence by Zimbabwe on April 18th 1980 opened doors of opportunities for both Zimbabweans and Malawians.
He applauded the joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation (JPCC) by Lilongwe and Harare which continues to bear fruits for the two countries’ economy though trade.
“The people of Zimbabwe were among the first to respond to the devastation of Tropical Cyclone Freddy by donating 300 metric tonnes of maize, 30 metric tonnes of non-food items to relieve the suffering of the victims of the cyclone. In addition to that, Zimbabwe has just donated to Malawi 30 tonnes of cement which will be followed by 30 tonnes of planks of timber,” Zikhale Ng’oma said.
The Minister said like other SADC countries, Malawi is concerned with sanctions that were imposed on Zimbabwe which are currently affecting innocent civilians, including women and children. He called upon western countries to consider removing the sanctions after contact and dialogue.
In her remarks, Zimbabwe Ambassador to Malawi, Dr Nancy Saungweme said Malawi remains a true partner for Zimbabwe and has stood by Zimbabwe at all times.
She said Zimbabwe is looking forward to the next session of Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation between Malawi and Zimbabwe where negotiations of all the important aspects which will move the cooperation forward would be concluded.
Saungweme has since invited Malawi to participate at the forthcoming 63rd edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2023, which will be held from 25 to 26 April, and likewise, she has also announced that Zimbabwe will participate at the Takulandilani Malawi Tourism Expo from 26 to 27 April, 2023 in Lilongwe.
