Malawi’s female amapiano star, Temwah, has released her much anticipated gospel song titled ‘Tumeni which features a South African musician Tuksin.
The 25-year old former Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU) student say she believes that people will like the new song and that they should look out for more local and international collabos
Meanwhile, music fanatics are reacting to the new track with many describing it as a very mature song with a simple but very beautiful video.
Temwah, full name Temwa Gondwe, came into the limelight after dropping songs like Malawi, Mudya and Mvetsera that she teamed up with Zeze Kingston.

His Excellency the State President, Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has assured Malawians that the reforms agenda by his government is on course and will never derail.
Chakwera has also declared that Malawi is a leader and not a follower in good governance within the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).
Speaking when he officially launched the second National Action Plan (NAP) for Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Lilongwe, President Chakwera took a swipe at some critics for expressing skepticism over the success of his administration’s reforms agenda over the past two years.
Providing specific examples, President Chakwera states that if his government had not been implementing reforms, then Ministry of Finance could not have made progress and headway in negotiating the new Extended Credit Facility (ECF) with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“If I had not been pursuing reforms,we couldn’t have succeeded in having a second Compact Program for the country,” said President Chakwera.
He added that if his government was inactive in pursuing reforms, the country couldn’t have enacted the access to information law as well as the Mine and Minerals Act.
“Those paying attention to what we are doing know that this OGP national plan we are launching today, is part of a larger ecosystem of reforms we are implementing,” he added.
The President, thereafter, urged all public institutions to embrace and take Malawi’s OGP membership seriously so as to make government business open and transparent to everyone.
Speaking earlier, Secretary to President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba assured the nation that his office will diligently coordinate, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the plan which will be implemented from 2023 to 2025.
The head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis has today appointed Reverend Father Alfred Mateyu Chaima from the Archdiocese of Blantyre as the new Bishop of Zomba diocese.
The announcement has been made in Vatican city, Italy.

Confirming the appointment in a statement, President of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi has asked people in the country to congratulate the bishop-elect for the appointment and that people should remember him in they prayers.
Reverend Fr. Chaima is also serving as the Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi.
Malawi’s Minister of Homeland Security Dr Ken Zikhale Ng’oma has warned some dishonest citizens against harbouring people who deams to be hiding from the possible relocation to the designated place of Dzaleka.
Addressing a news conference in Lilongwe, Ng’oma said Government is much aware that some Malawians of ill motives are harbouring these refugees who are refusing to be relocated to their designated place.
According to Ng’oma Government will not just stand aloof and watch but rather to do everything possible floods those refugees who are hiding.
“Once we find those refugees being hidden we will treat them as criminals who are there just to commit crimes,” he said.
Ng’oma has since warned any refugee or asylum seeker from returning to their business places.
Ng’oma said he has received reports that some refugees are returning saying that is against the laws of Malawi.
The accident that occurred at Tenenthe along Karonga Chitipa road on Saturday, 3rd June, 2023 has saddened State President, Lazarus Chakwera, saying as a nation the death of 24 and several others who have been injured is of great shock, hence a need to unite together in prayers and calling upon the Lord to bring comfort to the bereaved families and recovery to the injured.
Speaking at Nyungwe Primary School in Karonga on Monday, 5th June, 2023 when he represented President Chakwera at the sombre sendoff of 24 bodies of those who died during the fatal accident, Minister of Agriculture, Sam Kawale said President Chakwera is so touched that the nation has lost 24 of its citizens of which many were youths in such a tragedy.
“President Chakwera is so much saddened by the death of 24 people and the several others who have been injured following the accident on Saturday.
He is aware of the pains and grief that the bereaved families are passing through, hence his heartfelt condolences.
Further, Kawale said the President is thankful to the Regional Commissioner for police and the entire Police service, and health officials for Karonga DHO for their commitment since the tragedy occurred.
In his remarks the Minister of Youth and Sports said sports is instrumental in unity and development of the country, hence losing people who were ambassadors for unity and development is a great shock.
He then thanked President Chakwera for directing the Ministry of Local Government, and Department of Disaster Management (DoDMA) to work hand in hand with his Ministry in such a trying moment.
The Speaker of the National Assembly who also spoke during the sendoff of the 24 bodies said it is shocking and heartbreaking to lose a mass of 24 at once. But she thanked people of Karonga and Chitipa for coming together in unity regardless of their affiliations in the society.
In his mourning remarks, Paramount chief Kyungu of Chitipa and Karonga asked the government to ban the use of open vehicles whenever people are travelling for long distances, saying it puts the lives of many people at risk.
Paramount Kyungu then concurred with senior chief Mwelan’gombe in thanking President Lazarus Chakwera for quickly coming in with food, coffins, and transport assistance during the tragedy.
President Chakwera has since condole the bereaved families with K7.5 Million Kwacha.
Among those who attended the ceremony include, Harry Mlekanjala Mkandawire, Owen Chomanika, Catherine Gotani Hara, Uchizi Mkandawire, Richard Msowoya, Frank Mwenifumbo, Paramount Chief Kyungu, the clergy, and Water Nyamilandu.
