Pemphero Mphande to hold Singles, Couples and Relationships Seminar

After seven months of planning, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of Singles, Couples and Relationships Seminar ( SCARS) who is also Senior Admin of Pemphero Mphande facebook page Pemphero Wamwale Mphande popularly known as Mr. Zee World has organized first ever Singles, Couples and Relationships Seminar (SCARS) to be held on December 4, 2021 at Umodzi Park, Bingu International Convention Centre ( BICC) in Lilongwe.

In his facebook post, Mphande said the event will be the first of its kind full of activities and fun. He said the plan is to make the SCARS an annual event.
” Together we started this page and it has continued to do wonders. Among the many things it has done is to connect people to their soulmates everyday. Now we want to do more.
” We will start selling tickets soon. Be among the first to buy. It is time to find your, to strengthen your relationship, and time to heal from a heartbreak. This event is not for me but for all of us to see it succeed because because you have pushed me to do this. So, thank you now and for your support always. You are the best fans in the world.
” I ask everyone, who is also a proud praise team member, to like this , comment on it, and share it. Put it on your WhatsApp statuses and make it trend”, said Pemphero.

He said during the event, there will be also a Relaunch of Malawi’s first ever dating site called 265 dates which aims at extending the connections and interactions between singles and couples with their soulmates online.
” After launching first ever dating site, www.265dates.come, we received so many complaints about people struggling to access and use the site. We are now rebuilding to make it user friendly for all. If you click on the site it says” coming Back soon”, he said.

He said to make communications easier for the upcoming event, he is creating WhatsApp groups each for every region ( Southern, Central and Northern).
” Tomorrow, we are also opening three, Central, Southern, and Northern Pemphero Mphande WhatsApp groups for SCARS. Be the first to join before they are full. We will have fun there”, said Pemphero.

Pemphero Wamwale Mphande’s Facebook called Pemphero Mphande has over 176, 4610 followers. Among other things, the page connects singles to their right soulmates and carries stories that strengths people’s relationships as healing broken hearts.

ACB Clears State House of inflation of payments for Foreign Guests accomodation

The Anti-Corruption Bureau ( ACB) says it has concluded investigations into an allegation that State House inflated figures when making payments in respect of four foreign guests who were booked at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe in July, 2020.

ACB says, it was further alleged that a suspicious payment of K12,500,000.00 was made to Crossroads Hotel under the name of Miguel Elias of Chitundu Distributors from State House account.

In a statement dated November 2,2021 and signed by its Principal Public Relations Officer Egrita Ndala, the Bureau says it conducted Investigations which among other things established that:
1. There were guests from outside the country that came on invitation of State House in July, 2020.
2. The guests were lodged at Crossroads Hotel.
3. There was no inflation of figures by State House on the payments that were made to Crossroads Hotel.
4. The payment made by Miguel Elias of Chitundu Distributors to Crossroads Hotel for the Accommodation did not come from State House account.
5. K12,500,000.00 was made by State House directly to Crossroads Hotel towards the accommodation costs of the guests.
6. There was no corruption in the payments that were made to Crossroads Hotel as alleged in the complaint.

The Bureau further says it has found no evidence of wrongdoing and has therefore, closed the case..

Malawi’s Netball Team Lose To Uganda

Malawi’s national netball team on Tuesday afternoon lost 43-59 to the She Clanes of Uganda in their second match of the 2021 Debmarine Pent Series tournament currently taking place in Namibia.

The Malawi Queens who are ranked sixth in the world started their Pent Series campaign yesterday with a 56-38 win against Zimbabwe.

However the Queens failed to continue the good work on Tuesday as they get thrashed in all the four quarters by the She Clanes who are currently ranked seventh in the INF World Rankings.

Malawi’s next game will be against hosts Namibia on Wednesday.

Six teams namely Malawi, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya and Namibia are taking part in the five-day tournament taking place from 1st to 5th November, 2021 at the Israel Patrick Iyambo Police College in Olympia.

Stormy rains disrupt MSCE exams in Lilongwe

The Malawi National Examinations Bord( MANEB) says the administration of Malawi School Certificate of Education ( MSCE) English paper 1 examinations at Ching’ombe and Chadza 1CDSS in Lilongwe Rural East Was yesterday, November 1, 2021, disrupted by stormy rains which blew off roofs of facilities where candidates were sitting examinations.

Maneb says a total of 171 candidates had their scripts completely soaked by the rains and three candidates sustained some injuries and were treated as outpatients at Nathenje Health Centre.

However, In a statement dated November 2, 2021, the borad’s Executive Director Dorothy Nampota says to ensure fairness in the administration of examinations, the board will administer a deferred examination of the paper to all the 171candidates affected by the disaster.
” The date for the administration of the deferred examination will be communicated to the candidates in due course.

Arrangements have been made to relocate the candidates to the nearest available facilities where they will continue writing the remaining examinations as well as the deferred English paper 1 examination”, says Nampota.

Malawi Queens Beat Zimbabwe 56-38 In Pent Series Tournament

Malawi national netball team, the Queens have started their campaign in this year’s Debmarine Pent Series with a 56-38 win against Zimbabwe.

The queens were a better side right from the word go as they won the first quarter 15-9.

The Peace Chawinga-Kalua girls continued to dominate as they took a 31-16 lead in the second quarter.

By the end of the third quarter, the queens were leading 49-24 before finishing the game with a 56-38 in the last quarter.



Malawi’s next game will be against Uganda tomorrow at 12:00 noon before meeting the hosts Namibia on Wednesday.
