Malawi’s President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to delivering durable development projects across the country.
Speaking at Emufeni Headquarters during a campaign meeting with his running-mate Vitumbiko Mumba, Dr. Chakwera emphasized that his administration will prioritize working closely with local communities, in line with the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) manifesto.

“I said do not rehabilitate the road because I am going there, I want to see for myself the challenges communities face,” Dr. Chakwera told the enthusiastic crowd.
This approach underscores his government’s focus on understanding and addressing the specific needs of each community.
Vitumbiko Mumba, Dr. Chakwera’s running-mate, urged supporters to translate the massive turnout at rallies into votes during the September 16 elections.
The warm welcome Dr. Chakwera received from thousands of people at Emufeni Headquarters reflects the strong support for his vision of durable development.
