Professor Imran Sherif, a well-known commentator on national issues and former AFORD party official, has officially joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
He was welcomed at a rally in Mangochi, where President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera was campaigning to attract new members and promote the MCP’s manifesto in the Eastern Region.
In his remarks, Sherif described it as an honor to serve under a party that represents national unity. He stated that the MCP’s inclusive approach to development inspired his decision to join. Professor Sherif emphasized that the party’s commitment to equitable progress strengthened his resolve to align with its vision.
