Malawian musician Rashley’s redemption journey has taken another positive turn as US-based artist Chawezi Banda, better known as Chacha, stepped forward with a K500,000 donation in support of his career.
Chacha, who praised Rashley as one of Malawi’s finest talents, said the gesture was more than financial aid it was a show of belief in Rashley’s potential to reclaim his place in the music industry.
For Rashley, the support has been deeply moving. He admitted that the encouragement pouring in from fans and fellow artists has reignited his hope and passion after years of struggle.
The singer, who recently went emotional on Facebook Live asking Malawians for forgiveness and a second chance, continues to emphasize reconciliation and unity in the music industry.
He made it clear that despite speculations linking him to remarks made by fellow artist Driemo, he holds no grudges.
“Driemo and I have known each other for a long time. There is no bad blood between us. In fact, I am supporting his new release by sharing it on my page. As artists, we must stand together and protect one another,” Rashley said.
With fans and artists alike rallying behind him, Rashley’s comeback story is shaping up to be one of resilience, unity, and renewed purpose in Malawi’s entertainment industry.
