Malawi football star Tabitha Chawinga has encouraged girls to embrace their individuality, reminding them that they do not need to live in the shadow of others to fulfil their potential.
In a motivational message shared on social media, Chawinga urged girls not to apologise for becoming the people they were created to be. She emphasised the importance of confidence, self-belief and recognising one’s own unique strengths.
“You were not created to live in somebody else’s shadow. You were created to bring your own light,” Chawinga wrote, delivering a message aimed at inspiring young girls to celebrate their identity and pursue their dreams without comparison.

Through her TC11 Academy and the message “Choyamba, Tidye,” Chawinga continues to use her platform to encourage young people to believe in themselves and strive for excellence. Her latest message reinforces the importance of empowering girls to recognise their worth and confidently create their own path.
