Two first half goals from defenders Stanley Sanudi and Peter Cholopi were enough to give Mighty Mukuru Wanderers maximum points against TN Stars at Kasungu Stadium on Sunday.

Sanudi was the first to hit the back of the net 13 minutes in the first half after connecting home an Isaac Kaliati’s cross.

It was Kaliati again who engineered the second goal for the Nomads as his corner kick found Peter Cholopi who scored with a powerful header in the 21st minute to give the Lali Lubani side a comfortable lead.

Despite the win the Nomans remain third with 31 points from 16 games 11 points behind league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets.

Elsewhere, Blue Eagles reduced the gap between themselves and Nyasa Big Bullets with 9 points following their 1-nil victory over Karonga United at Karonga Stadium. Gaddie Chirwa scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute.

In Mulanje, goals from Promise Kamwendo and Clement Nyondo helped Dedza Dynamos to get maximum points against Sable Farming in a match that took place at Mulanje Park Stadium.

The home side got their consolation through Shabi Kassim in the 83rd minute from the penalty spot.

Civo Service United were 2-nil winners against Red Lions at Civo Stadium with Muhammad Biason scoring both goals for the civil servants in the 18th and 28th minute.
