Witness testifies in Patricia Kaliati’s murder conspiracy case

By Jones Gadama

A third witness, Angraella Mwale, has testified in the case involving former Minister of Gender, Patricia Kaliati.

Kaliati is accused of conspiring with others to murder President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

According to Mwale, she was part of a group that planned to travel to Nigeria to consult a spiritualist.

The purpose of the trip, Mwale claimed, was to seek the spiritualist’s assistance in restoring the relationship between former Vice President Saulos Chilima and President Chakwera, as well as to end Chilima’s court cases.

Mwale further testified that while in Nigeria, Kaliati called her and informed her that Chilima’s cases had been resolved.

Later, Mwale received another call, allegedly from Kaliati, stating that Chilima was being sent on a trip to Tanzania.

The case continues to unfold, with Mwale’s testimony providing more insight into the alleged conspiracy.

The court will likely scrutinize the details of Mwale’s testimony as it weighs the evidence against Kaliati.
