Renowned Amapiano star Zeze Kingston has been confirmed as the second headline act for the highly anticipated “Saturday Blues” event set to take place this weekend at Blues Bar and Restaurant in Blantyre.
The event, which kicks off at 2 PM, promises to deliver a night of electrifying performances and good vibes as Malawians come together to celebrate the post-election period.

Zeze Kingston, known for his energetic stage presence and chart-topping hits, will share the stage with Praise Umali, who was unveiled earlier this week as the first performer on the lineup.
The pair is expected to bring a unique blend of Amapiano, Afrobeat and local sounds to keep the crowd on its feet throughout the event.
Speaking to the media, Kennedy Maluwa of DJ Kenny Entertainment, one of the event organizers, said the Saturday Blues was curated to provide people with a moment of joy and unity following the recent tense election period.
“This is more than just a music show; it’s a celebration of peace and resilience. We want to give people a memorable experience as they unwind and come together after the elections,” said Maluwa.
The event will also feature guest DJs and a special afterparty session, turning Blues Bar into a hub of music and celebration.
Organizers have hinted at surprise guest appearances from some of Malawi’s rising stars in the entertainment industry.
Tickets are already on sale and Maluwa encouraged people to secure theirs early, citing high demand due to the popularity of both Zeze Kingston and Praise Umali.
