Deputy Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, Joyce Chitsulo, has died.
The tragic news was confirmed by the Minister of Local Government, Unity and Culture, Richard Chimwendo Banda.
Speaking to Nation Online just moments ago, Chimwendo Banda said the government has lost a committed and hardworking leader who dedicated her life to public service.

Chitsulo was known for her vibrant contributions to matters of local governance, unity, and cultural development, and she often championed the voices of marginalized communities.
Her passing marks a significant loss to the Ministry and the nation at large, especially at a time when Malawi continues to grapple with numerous developmental challenges that require unity and strong leadership.
Details surrounding the cause of her death have not yet been disclosed to the public.
The late Joyce Chitsulo was also a Member of Parliament and a respected figure within her constituency and party, admired for her passion for service and unwavering commitment to national development.
