FDH Bank plc on Tuesday donated K5 million to the Financial Market Dealers Association (FIMDA) to support the organisation’s much-anticipated annual lakeshore conference, scheduled for October 17–19, 2025 in Mangochi.
Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony held in Blantyre, FDH Bank plc Senior Manager, Alinane Mwenye, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to advancing the growth and development of Malawi’s financial sector.
“FDH Bank is one of the key players in the financial market, and as such, we saw the need to step in and offer our support,” she said.
On his part,FIMDA General Secretary, James Mbingwa, expressed gratitude for the bank’s support, noting that the conference will serve as an important platform for dialogue and collaboration within the sector.
“We are grateful to FDH Bank for sponsoring this year’s conference, which will provide an opportunity to discuss key issues that will benefit the financial market,” he said.
The conference will be held under the theme ‘Financial Inclusion Through Digital Innovation.’
