Human Rights Defender, Undule Mwakasungula, has strongly condemned the rising cases of mob justice in Nsanje and Chikwawa districts linked to allegations of genital disappearance.
This follows incidents of violence that have so far claimed the lives of seven people over the claims.
Mwakasungula says the acts reflect a growing disregard for the rule of law among some members of the public.

He has since called for collective efforts among stakeholders to sensitize communities on the importance of respecting the law and avoiding mob justice.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a total of 43 people in connection with the incidents, with 16 suspected of spreading false information and 27 facing murder-related charges.
