A Lilongwe-based author, Brave Manjamkhosi Nkhoma, has released two new books aimed at exploring philosophy, human relationships, and the changing realities of modern society.
In an interview with 247 Malawi News, Nkhoma said the books ‘The Counsellor: A Pilgrimage from Curiosity to Reality’ and ‘An Inconvenient Marriage’ were officially launched on April 27, 2026.
He described ‘The Counsellor: A Pilgrimage from Curiosity to Reality’ which has 96 pages as a philosophical book centered on the human journey of becoming.

According to the author, the story in the book draws inspiration from the biblical life of Adam in the Garden of Eden, symbolizing the transition from innocence to the realities of life.
“The book explores how people move from curiosity and innocence into understanding reality as they grow and experience life,” explained Nkhoma.
He added that the inspiration behind the book came from his deep curiosity about life and human perception.
“Everyone has their own philosophy of life, and that philosophy begins to unfold when people start asking ‘why’ about the things around them,” he said.
Nkhoma said the book was published by GrandPen Africa.
He said his second book ‘An Inconvenient Marriage’ is a regret-filled love story that examines relationships, missed opportunities, and societal pressures affecting modern marriages.
According to Nkhoma, the novel explores themes such as feminism, changing gender roles, and the struggle between traditional and modern expectations in marriage.
“Through my observations, I decided to put into writing what I could not fully express through speech,” he said.
