South Africa-based Malawian gospel musician Shadreck Chisale is taking his music journey to the next level with plans to establish a modern recording studio in Area 25, Lilongwe, a move aimed at nurturing the next generation of local talent.
The development follows the acquisition of land for the project, which Chisale’s management team says will serve as a hub for music production, artist development and mentorship.

According to the artist’s local manager, Kondwani Billiati, the facility will focus on identifying promising upcoming musicians and helping them grow through professional recording services, guidance and promotional support.
Billiati said the initiative is designed to address some of the challenges young artists face in accessing quality production facilities and industry mentorship.
Speaking during a media engagement held in Mponela on Wednesday, he expressed satisfaction with the reception of Chisale’s debut album, “Dziko la Waonongeka,” saying listeners have responded positively across various promotional platforms.
He noted that the encouraging feedback has strengthened the team’s commitment to investing in the growth of Malawi’s gospel music industry.
Meanwhile, Chisale is expanding his presence in the music scene through new visual productions, with music videos for songs such as “Musandiweruze,” “Dalitsani Dzikoli” and “Ali ku Manda” currently in production.
The videos are expected to be released in the coming months as part of efforts to increase the reach of the artist’s message and connect with a wider audience.
Born in Nkhotakota, Chisale first ventured into music in 2003 but was forced to put his career on hold due to financial difficulties.
After years away from the spotlight, the gospel artist has made a notable return this year, using his comeback not only to revive his own career but also to create opportunities for aspiring musicians seeking a breakthrough in the industry.
