Security is the foundation of development, and under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Malawi is safe, calm and protected.
Leading that charge is the no-nonsense Minister of Homeland Security, Hon. Peter Mukhito.
President Mutharika’s leadership is rooted in law and order. He believes every Malawian deserves to sleep peacefully and do business without fear.
That is why he appointed Peter Mukhito – a disciplined, patriotic and empathetic leader to head homeland security.
In just a short time, Minister Mukhito has restored morale in the police and immigration departments.
Officers are being equipped, trained and motivated to serve with professionalism. Border security has been tightened to stop crime, smuggling and illegal entry.
The Minister has also prioritized community policing. Working with chiefs, councilors and local leaders, communities are now partners in fighting crime.
This is APM’s philosophy: security starts with the people. When citizens and security agencies work together, Malawi wins.
President Mutharika’s kind and loving heart is also seen in how the ministry is handling refugees and disaster victims. Human rights are respected, but the law is also enforced without fear or favor.
The visionary President came to save Malawi from lawlessness, and Mukhito is delivering that vision.
Under APM’s direction, Malawi is no longer a transit point for criminals. Mukhito has sent a strong message: break the law and face the law. At the same time, he is ensuring that officers serve with respect and integrity.
Malawians can now do business, travel and worship without fear. Markets are open late, schools are running peacefully, and peace prevails in our communities.
This is leadership in action. A visionary, patriotic President giving direction, and a loyal Minister delivering results on the ground. With Professor Mutharika at the helm and Peter Mukhito securing the nation, Malawi is in safe hands.
