Under the dynamic and visionary leadership of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Malawi’s image on the international stage has been restored.
At the center of this diplomatic revival is Hon. George Chaponda, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
When President Mutharika came to save Malawi, he said our country must be respected, not beg.
He tasked Minister Chaponda with a clear mission: rebuild Malawi’s relationships, attract investment, and protect Malawians abroad. And the Minister is delivering.

Chaponda has brought back confidence in Malawi’s foreign policy. He is firm, patriotic, and strategic.
Through his leadership, Malawi has re-engaged with key development partners, bilateral donors, and investors who had lost trust.
Today, doors that were once closed are now open because the world sees a President who is visionary, kind and credible.
Under APM’s guidance, Minister Chaponda has prioritized economic diplomacy. He is not just attending meetings – he is bringing back deals.
From agriculture to energy, from trade to scholarships, Malawi is now benefiting from partnerships that create jobs and opportunities for our youth.
The Minister has also been strong on protecting Malawians in the diaspora.
Working with embassies, he has ensured that our citizens abroad are treated with dignity and that their concerns are addressed quickly.
This is the empathetic and loving heart of President Mutharika’s government in action.
Chaponda has also championed regional peace and unity.
Through SADC and AU platforms, he speaks with the voice of a patriotic leader who puts Malawi first, just as President Mutharika taught.
Malawi is no longer silent. We are now leading conversations on trade, security, and development.
Because of this teamwork between a visionary President and a committed Foreign Affairs Minister, Malawi is respected again. Our flag flies high in New York, Addis Ababa, Brussels and beyond.
This is what happens when you have leadership with direction.
President Mutharika sets the vision, and George Chaponda executes it. Malawi’s place in the world is secure.
