The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) has urged Malawians to embrace the spirit of dialogue whenever misunderstandings arise, saying constructive engagement is essential for fostering national development and social cohesion.
CCJP National Coordinator, Lewis Msiyadungu, says dialogue remains one of the most effective tools for promoting peace, unity, and mutual understanding among citizens.

Msayadungu emphasized that open and respectful discussions help resolve conflicts, strengthen relationships, and create an environment where people can work together towards common national goals.
He noted that despite that in a democratic society, differences in opinions and perspectives are inevitable, such differences should not lead to division or hostility.
His remarks come as today Malawi joins the rest of the world, in commemorating the International Day for Dialogue under the theme, “The Imperative of Dialogue among Civilizations in a Changing World,”.
