Chakwera calls people of Lilongwe Msozi to support Govt transformative agenda

Malawi President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera soon after presiding over Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) graduation ceremony addressed a rally at Lilongwe Msozi Headquarters in the area of Senior Chief Chadza where he tackled a number of key points.

During the rally, Chakwera urged people in the area to help Government achieve its vision and realise its dream.

He stressed the need for the community to embrace agriculture saying its part of the enablers towards achieving the Malawi 2063 agenda.

He said that is why LUANAR remains a vibrant partner if malawi is to achieve the Malawi 2063. The President then urged Malawians to turn small scale farming into commercial farming. He says Malawi can be a sustainable country if the country work hard to enhance agriculture.

Chakwera said he has encouraged Luanar to continue doing well and do more partnerships to achieve more as well.

Chakwera has since commended Luanar for enhancing irrigation in the country saying Luanar will be harvesting its 100 Hectares of maize soon.

The President urged Malawians to take part in changing the Malawi landscape by not stealing from Malawians. “Wena mpaka kuba zipangizo za ulimi zotsika mtengo, uku nkulakwa ndipo ndi kupha kumene.”

Speaking earlier, MCP Secretary General Elsenhower Mkaka commended the president for the grand development rally at Lilongwe Msozi saying the whole Lilongwe East is happy with the coming of the President to the area.

The SG commended the Malawi President for setting Mega Farm vision saying shortly Malawi will harvest 100 hectares in Nkhotakota.

Mkaka highlighted on the developments taking place in the country citing the case of Likoma Island. He says Likoma is no longer the same adding that even Lilongwe is no longer the same. We will now have a real Capital City.
