Chitipa United FC which has just been promoted into the top flight league, TNM Super League, has appointed McDonald Nginde Mtetemera to be their head coach who will lead the team in the forthcoming soccer season.

The team’s General Secretary Duma Ngoma confirmed the development saying Mtetemera has signed a two-year contract with the team.

Towards the end of the just ended TNM Super League season Mtetemera was head coach for the Chiradzulu based side, Sable Farming FC which got relegated to the lower league after finishing 14th in the 16 member TNM Super League.

Before joining Sable, Mtetemera was the Assistant Coach for the central region giants Silver Strikers and has also coached teams like Dwanga United and Blantyre United.

Chitipa United were promoted into the elite league after emerging champions in the Simso Inno Build northern region football league.

A couple of days ago, the northern region side signed three players in readiness for the super league season and reports indicate that the team is also seeking the services of Kadona FC coach Luke Milanzi who will be working as an assistant to the former Sable Farming boss.

TNM Super League is expected to be back into action for the 2023 season in March this year.
