Economist and political strategist Collins Magalasi will remain in custody after a magistrate’s court postponed its decision on his application for bail until September 11.
Magalasi appeared before the court on Friday expecting a ruling on his request for release pending trial.
However, the court deferred its decision, meaning he will continue to be held in custody until the scheduled ruling date.

The case involves allegations of theft and money laundering linked to the acquisition of the Amaryllis Hotel by the Public Service Pension Trust Fund.
Magalasi is facing the charges in connection with the transaction, which has drawn attention because of the involvement of pension fund resources in the purchase of the property.
The court is expected to determine on September 11 whether Magalasi will be granted bail as the criminal proceedings continue.
