Ekhaya Football Club has parted ways with First Team Head Coach Enos Chatama with immediate effect and has hired Fundi Akidu as an interim coach, assisted by Moses Chavula.
In a statement signed by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Thando Mhango,the club says the decision follows a review by its leadership and is made in the best interests of its objectives for the current season and beyond.
The club has however,thanked Chatama for his commitment and contribution during his time in charge, having guided it to a top-eight finish in its first season and winning its maiden Airtel Top 8 trophy.

The club adds that it appreciates Chatama’s efforts in leading it and wishes him success in his future endeavours.
The decision comes as Ekhaya FC are currently 11th in the FDH Bank Premiership, with 18 points from 15 matches. The team has recorded four wins, six draws and five defeats, scoring 15 goals and conceding 14.
Ekhaya’s recent league form has also been a concern, with the team going without a victory in its last five matches, a run that has included three defeats and two draws.
