Malawi- Eye of the Child has called on the Government to strengthen laws against human trafficking and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
In a statement released on Thursday, the organisation’s spokesperson, Asiyatu James, says children make up the majority of trafficking victims, underscoring the need for stronger legal protection and enforcement.
James has also urged parents and caregivers to educate their children about online safety and the dangers of deceptive recruitment tactics used by traffickers.

Her remarks come as Malawi joins the rest of the world in commemorating the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
James has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to protecting children from human trafficking and advocating for their safety and well-being.
