Maranatha Academy has announced that all preparations have been completed for its Central Region scholarship entrance examinations, which are scheduled to take place tomorrow as the institution continues its search for academically gifted learners across Malawi.
The examinations follow a successful start to the scholarship programme in the Southern Region on Monday, where hundreds of candidates from districts across the region turned up to sit for the highly anticipated tests.

The strong participation in the Southern Region has raised expectations for another impressive turnout in the Central Region, with many learners hoping to secure financial support for their education.
According to Maranatha Academy Managing Director Ernest Kaonga, the scholarship programme is designed to identify talented and disciplined students who demonstrate strong academic potential and leadership qualities.
Kaonga said successful candidates will be awarded either full or partial scholarships to study at Maranatha Academy’s primary and secondary schools, giving deserving learners an opportunity to access quality education.
He emphasized that the initiative goes beyond academic performance by also seeking students who exhibit good character, discipline and the potential to become responsible leaders in their communities and the country.
“The program is about finding bright and disciplined learners who can become future leaders,” Kaonga said.
The scholarship initiative forms part of Maranatha Academy’s broader commitment to expanding educational opportunities for talented learners, regardless of their financial background.
By offering scholarships to deserving students, the institution hopes to nurture future professionals and leaders who will make meaningful contributions to Malawi’s social and economic development.
With all logistical arrangements now in place, attention turns to the Central Region examinations, where another group of aspiring learners will compete for a chance to earn scholarships and pursue their education at one of the country’s leading private learning institutions.
