The Ministry of Health says it has adopted an electronic laboratory information management system called Surveillance and Epidemiology or Drug Resistant Infections Information Management System (SEDRLIMS).

Head of Division responsible for Antimicrobial Resistance in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Collins Mitambo says with this system, the country’s health sector is expected to improve.

Says Mtambo:“SEDRLIMS is a critical step towards modernizing our healthcare infrastructure. It will improve the accuracy and efficiency of our medical records and laboratory processes, ultimately enhancing patient care and health outcomes.”

“The foundation relies on farming and small-scale businesses to sustain itself, but these efforts are insufficient. This money will help us cater to some of the needs at the foundation,” she said.
