It was a day of joy, song and gratitude at Mlodza CCAP in Lilongwe on Friday as Pastor Ruth Kawinga, wife to Founder and President of Salvation for All Ministries International Apostle Clifford Kawinga, donated K5 Million towards the operationalization of the Livingstonia Synod Women Guild Conference 2026.
The announcement was met with whistling, ululation and thunderous hand clapping from women who gathered for the conference. Many described the donation as timely, coming at a moment when the guild was mobilizing resources for its activities.
The atmosphere reached its peak when Pastor Ruth took to the podium to address the gathering.
“Praise the Lord, women of God! It is a great honor and privilege for me to be here with you today,” she said.Â
“I sincerely thank the leadership of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, Lilongwe East Presbytery, and the Women’s Guild leadership 2026 for organizing this conference.”
Speaking on the conference theme, Pastor Ruth urged women to remain steadfast in faith amid life’s challenges.
“We are living in times where women face many challenges in families, marriages, communities and spiritual lives. But the message is simple: we must stand firm in the grace of God. Standing firm means that when difficulties come, we refuse to give up because our confidence is in God,” she said.
She drew inspiration from the guild’s slogan: _‘Umanyano ndise mchere wa charo; Umanyano ndise kuwala kwa charo’_ Unity is the salt of the world; Unity is the light of the world.
“Women, let us remain united. Let us celebrate one another, pray for one another, encourage one another and hold each other up when one of us is weak,” she added, quoting Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 and Matthew 5:14-16 to emphasize the value of fellowship and being a light in society.
“Do not allow challenges to make you forget who you are in Christ. You are chosen, valuable and called to influence those around you. My prayer is that every woman will leave this place strengthened, renewed and determined to serve God with all her heart.”
In her remarks, Chairperson of the organizing committee , Alice Mwafongo thanked Pastor Ruth Kawinga for the generous gesture, saying the K5 Million will support conference logistics and outreach programs.
“This money that we have received will help up to build houses which will generate rentals to run guilds operations,” she said.
Mwafongo called on other well-wishers and people of faith to support the work of the guild, saying unity and generosity are vital for the growth of the church.
The 2026 Women’s Guild Conference has drawn women from various congregations under Lilongwe East Presbytery and is focusing on spiritual renewal, unity and community service.
